FAQs

  • If you are running late, kindly give us a call to let us know. If it’s more than 15 minutes, we may need to adjust your reservation, cancel, or reschedule.

  • We are located in a strip mall with multiple businesses, so there is ample parking, albeit not always right in front of the restaurant.

  • Our menu changes with the seasons and according to the inspirations of our chefs. We change approximately one dish a week on our menu, every week. Once a dish is off the menu it will not reoccur. You can always check the menu section on the top navigation bar of our website to see an updated menu.

  • We are BYO; however, we are also a showroom for Alba Vineyard,
which enables us to offer their premium wines by the bottle at retail pricing!

Alba Vineyard is a small family owned and operated farm committed to growing premium grapes and crafting world-class wines located in the rolling Warren Hills of Milford, New Jersey.

  • There is no extra charge to sit at the Chef's Counter, and there is not a special tasting menu; our menu is the same for the entire restaurant.

  • Our restaurant has an open floor plan with the kitchen as the main stage.

The chef’s counter is front and center, offering the most up close and interactive experience.

A few steps behind is the back counter, “aka” the mezzanine seats.  This communal counter overlooks our kitchen from bar height and you’ll be able to watch the team execute the dishes from start to finish.

The dining room is what you might consider “traditional” dining where you can enjoy a more intimate evening.

If you have a bigger celebration, our farm table can seat up to 14 guests.

We also offer uncovered outdoor seating during the warmer months with heaters for the spring and fall.

  • Our menu is a four course prix fixe, but you are always welcome to include additional courses a la carte. Your captain can help guide you if you want to make any adjustments or have specific dietary restrictions.

  • Yes, a post-class email which includes the recipes covered during class is sent to each student.

  • The recipes are cooked communally in collaboration with our chefs culminating in a class meal shared around our farm table.

  • The short answer is: No.
We are set up as a residential kitchen, so classes are oriented around a single (albeit large) kitchen island where our chefs will instruct and demonstrate the relative techniques while inviting plenty of hands-on opportunities.

  • Our starting age for classes is 13 years of age. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate children who are not old enough to participate in the class. The pricing for the classes are as published and do not change based on age. If a parent/guardian accompanies their child to a class, they are welcome to stay and wait; however, they must have purchased a seat for themselves if they wish to participate.

  • Most classes are about 2.5 hours.

  • Yes! We have a great relationship with Whole Foods Market in Marlboro (just 4 miles south of Heirloom Kitchen) and they make beautiful custom arrangements. We also love AP Greenery in Asbury Park. The owner, Zac, sources beautiful flowers and plants.

  • If you know what you are looking for, let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you! Most of our clientele come to us because of our style of food and presentation. We encourage clients to put trust in our team and allow us present seasonal dishes that are currently evolving on our menu.

  • We are BYO; however, we are also a showroom for Dominico Winery, which enables us to offer their award-winning wines by the bottle at retail prices! Dominico is a family owned and operated boutique winery located in San Carlos, California specializing in Italian varietals. Our wine list is enclosed in the package.

  • No, at the moment we do not. Our team is mighty but small and we do not have the bandwidth to take on any off site catering.

  • A typical event runs three hours. If you would like to have an event lasting longer than three hours, there will be an additional charge of 20% of your priced out event per hour.

  • DJs and small bands are typically allowed when coordinated and confirmed with us ahead of time.

  • Gift cards are available for purchase through our website and can be used for classes, dining, wine, or retail products at our Old Bridge location only.

  • We typically mail gift cards out within two to three business days. You will receive a physical gift card, a printed receipt, and additional Heirloom Kitchen collateral. Unfortunately, you cannot print gift cards from the website.
